Hey babes, this is not gonna be an informative post. It's regarding today's training. First I'm sorry girls that I was feeling queasy so I didn't train with yall. We all can see that Coach was being hot tempered today yeah. It really might be hurtful and demoralising the way he reprimand/shout/yell/scream/scold etcetc. Whatever it may be, we can't stop coach from what he wants to say. The only way we can make each other feel better is by assuring one another that it's alright! We've made a mistake, we all take this in together and we'll all improve together! "One for all and all for one"If you're about to break, just talk to yourself " I'm going to do it for USSBBG! ". I believe that what lies in our mental state depicts our physical actions next. We will all be pissed with JiaoLian for his biasness or crude remarks on our play. Let's all smack each other asses and say MOVE ON! We're improving! I can see that we had an improvement in our foulshots, well done girls! That's from the Powerpoint Slides. It was a blast and could see that JiaoLian is really happy. He even asked Biru " eh you all setting up celebration for me ah ". Cause it's all getting way too fishy~ Process:
Starting of the training everyone was wishing JiaoLian a Happy Birthday. All he could reply in return is thank you thank you. The idea of wishing him Happy Birthday individually after each individual layup was hilarious. Proceeed to normal training drills, everyone dread when the yellow ball is unwelcomed into the hall. Thanks Irene and Nessa for taking the photos during training! Then it was breaktime and I headed to finish up the powerpoint slides. Commotion occurred and XiaoFei is MISSING. Some even called up Miss Wong to search for me. I was finally found by Kaixin @ the stage area. Then we settled the cake and during foul shots, Lights were off. You girls were told to RUNNNNNNNNNNNNNN to the stage. It was a success.
However, we have to settle the Polo Tee thing.
So nevermind, settled everything and came the grand appearance of Jiaolian. He was told to sit in the center of the stage and then the presentation. I was smiling to myself when I see all the girls sitting down, paying attention to the slides I made. It was realllly heartwarming :) Heard that Miss Ng cried while reading the slides. Update update. USS vs RGS both divisions won. Good Game girls, however, their strong main player is not in singapore so that's not their real standard. But still, good game yeah. USS vs SAS(Singapore American School) Won 57 to 55. It was a big margin before though however at the last few minutes they caught up real fast! Both teams were tough and this is only the preparations for our beginning of the journey. we can make it USSBBG! Sorry girls that I led you the wrong way to SAS. Cool thing is we even got lost in SAS, it's freaking cool. High School Middle School, Babes and Hunks. We'll be going back to SAS on the 19th of November 6.30pm match again. Failing will be common when it comes to Sec3. Hold on to it, endure it just like how we endured our physical trainings and eventually you will find yourself breathing in Sec3 Maniac Life. Just never be disheartened and give that whole subject up, you WILL REGRET. For Sec1s, moving up won't be easy either, remember not to play too much yeah. For Sec3s, Mid year and Prelims are pushed forward next year. Make sure we don't slack and play too hard this holiday and remember to study! Hey babes, Goodgame for today. Although we have won, we still have a lot more to be improved on. Thank you babes for being co-orperative for the 10sets of free throws. With this I'm sure we'll be able to bond and increase our chemistry while playing. Good team spirit today, I could feel the Unity umph*Keep it up! ReviewWith concerns to blog rants of our opponent. I am very offended and unhappy with only 1 of them. Honestly, I was really thankful to the rest of the opponents that everyone thought it was a good game played although it was really a rough one. However, it disappointed me to have insults splashing on my junior. It is okay if you have any grudges on our team as a whole. But it is however not okay if you're just countering at one person. This particular person that you have brought her so low is my junior. As a senior or even as a teammate, to have someone insulting them is something hard to take and accept. You can't expect us to keep quiet and just let you tarnish her reputation right? As her teammates, I'm sure there'll be some commotion right here over at related blogs. Seriously, I won't be surprised because it's an expected reaction. If you wish to embark any unhappiness, feel free to do so at our team tagboard. Refrain from using any vulgarities please because I wouldn't say that's very sightly. If you're against her, that's fine but it is really absurd if you mention about her parents. How would you feel if you were the one being attacked at by all these crude comments? She is not a bench player. If that's a point you want to point out to make it a " A bench player have no rights to speak " kind of rule then I would say that doesn't exist in Team Unity. Each individual is taken as an equal teammate. So what if someone is a bench player? It's really low of you to have mentioned that, she is a human she have her rights so do you. If you are her senior, you have the utmost rights to lecture her. But if you are just someone who hold grudges against her, stop trying to find each and every excuses to portray that she's sucha degraded person. To you, she can be whatever a whore is like. Keep that to yourself. You don't need to tell the whole world your comments about a particular person just because you're unhappy with them. A war started out small. I would respect you if you have pointed out both strengths and weaknesses of both teams. I personally respect your fellow teammates but for you, you have just tarnished your own image. Stop making any assumptions that are untrue. I do not want to even seek problem with you because I think it should be settled properly without jeopardising each other. Note to opponent:
I will really appreciate it if this can be settled in a proper manner without blaming on each other. I wanted to convince my team to let bygones be bygones but this has really gone too far. It's way over the limit. I'm sure you guys wouldn't want your own beloved teammate to be shot at with hurtful remarks and I respect of those who wants to defend on her. Defending your teammates means you love them, you care for them. It's the basic job to do. Failing will be common when it comes to Sec3. Hold on to it, endure it just like how we endured our physical trainings and eventually you will find yourself breathing in Sec3 Maniac Life. I am very offended and unhappy with only 1 of them. Honestly, I was really thankful to the rest of the opponents that everyone thought it was a good game played although it was really a rough one. However, it disappointed me to have insults splashing on my junior. It is okay if you have any grudges on our team as a whole. But it is however not okay if you're just countering at one person. This particular person that you have brought her so low is my junior. As a senior or even as a teammate, to have someone insulting them is something hard to take and accept. You can't expect us to keep quiet and just let you tarnish her reputation right? As her teammates, I'm sure there'll be some commotion right here over at related blogs. Seriously, I won't be surprised because it's an expected reaction. If you wish to embark any unhappiness, feel free to do so at our team tagboard. Refrain from using any vulgarities please because I wouldn't say that's very sightly. If you're against her, that's fine but it is really absurd if you mention about her parents. How would you feel if you were the one being attacked at by all these crude comments? She is not a bench player. If that's a point you want to point out to make it a " A bench player have no rights to speak " kind of rule then I would say that doesn't exist in Team Unity. Each individual is taken as an equal teammate. So what if someone is a bench player? It's really low of you to have mentioned that, she is a human she have her rights so do you. If you are her senior, you have the utmost rights to lecture her. But if you are just someone who hold grudges against her, stop trying to find each and every excuses to portray that she's sucha degraded person. To you, she can be whatever a whore is like. Keep that to yourself. You don't need to tell the whole world your comments about a particular person just because you're unhappy with them. A war started out small. I would respect you if you have pointed out both strengths and weaknesses of both teams. I personally respect your fellow teammates but for you, you have just tarnished your own image. Stop making any assumptions that are untrue. I do not want to even seek problem with you because I think it should be settled properly without jeopardising each other. Note to opponent:
I will really appreciate it if this can be settled in a proper manner without blaming on each other. I wanted to convince my team to let bygones be bygones but this has really gone too far. It's way over the limit. I'm sure you guys wouldn't want your own beloved teammate to be shot at with hurtful remarks and I respect of those who wants to defend on her. Defending your teammates means you love them, you care for them. It's the basic job to do. Because your hair might get oily and stuff while contacting too much with the polluted air. Heat Pack: This is like a 'Hot Bag' that is used when you're sleeping at night to keep you warm at any parts of your body where you might feel cold. Haversack: DO NOT bring shoulderbag/handbag. Reason being pickpockets are very skillful there and they aim on tourists. When you're carrying sling back with a zip try to put it infront of you because you never know what they're able to do. Medication: This is the most important item! It will be devastatingly cold at Bei Jing to an extent that it MIGHT snow but the possibility is very low. The Unity Basketball CCA is a dynamic sports group that aims to develop its members to be a all-rounder basketballer as well as to achieve excellence in the school basketball scene.
The basketballers train thrice a week, even during the school holidays. Trainings only stopped two weeks before and during school examinations. Besides taking part in the annual Inter-school tournaments, the teams also take part in various external competitions to gain playing experiences. Together with dedicated teachers and committed coaches, the Unity Basketball teams have garnered many great achievements at the Inter-school tournaments.
Besides achieving in basketball competitions, the players are also developed in the other aspects of the sport. The Sec 1 and 2 players are exposed to the organization and running of a basketball tournament by helping out during the West Zone Inter-school tournament. The upper sec players are given opportunities to officiate matches during primary school competitions as well as intra-school and inter-school competitions.
At the end of the year, players have the opportunity to go for overseas training trip to be exposed to the basketball culture and standard in other countries.
